York Story Slam is a monthly gathering where anyone can take a turn at the microphone and tell a TRUE, 5-minute, first-person story based on that month's theme.

The theme for our June 16 story slam is Overdoing It.

We want to hear your stories of burning the candle at both ends, going all out, being perceived as too much, and crossing a line. However you interpret the theme, we look forward to hearing your true stories. Those who wish to share a story will sign up upon arrival that evening.

Join us in our new location at The Hangar. Doors open at 6:30 PM and stories begin at 7 PM. Food and beverages are available for purchase — we've got beer from Gift Horse Brewing for anyone who prefers a little liquid courage before putting their name into the hat.
